Meaning of contingent contract

- A 'contingent contract' is a contract to do or not do something.

- if some event, collateral to such contract

- does or does not happen

Essential features of a contingent contract-

• It is a contract to do or not to do something

• This contract is dependent on the happening or non-happening of an event

• Such an event is a collateral event, i.e., it is collateral to the contract. i.e., the event must not depend upon the mere will of of a party.

• The event is uncertain.

There are some rules regarding Contingent Contracts.

A = when can be enforced?

B = when does it become void?

Contingent contract upon happening of an event - A) When such event has happened. B) When the happening of such event becomes impossible.

Non-happening of a future event - A) When the happening of such event becomes impossible. B) When such event has happened.

Happening of an event within a specified time - A) When such event has happened within the specified time. B) • When the happening of such event becomes before the expiry of specified time. • When such event has not happened within the specified time.

No -happening of an event within a fixed time- A) • When th happening of such event becomes before the expiry of specified time. • When such event has happened within the specified time. B) When such event has happened within the specified time.

Future conduct of a living person- A) When such person acts in the manner as desired in the contract. B) When such person does anything which makes the desired future conduct of such person.-

• Impossible ; or

• Dependent upon certain contingency

Impossible Events - Such an agreement can't be enforced since it is void. Whether the impossibility of the event was known to the parties or not is immaterial.

A question frequently arises as to what is difference between wagering agreement and contingent contract. As the name clearifies that wagering agreement is not valid on the other hand contingent contract is valid. Wagering agreement is not defined under any section while contingent contract is defined u/s 31. A wagering agreement is a promise to give money or money's worth upon the determination of an uncertain event while a contingent contract is a contract to do or not to do something if some event collateral to such contract does or does not happen. Further in a wagering agreement, the uncertain event is the sole determining factor whereas in case of contingent contract, the event is only collateral. A wagering agreement is essentially of contingent nature but a contingent contract may not be of wagering nature.

MS Dhoni chose to retire from tests

The news that MS Dhoni has chosen to retire from test matches has shocked Indian cricket fans. This news was not known to anyone even when he was playing his last test match against Australia. Suddenly, a shocking news came like thunder and the Indian cricket world was totally depressed. Many people gave different views. Causes and suggestions were given on this. 

In the next year, world cup will start and the eyes of viewers and fans will be on their favourite teams as well as opposite team. 

Cricket is game of luck. It can not be said  who will win however the opponent is very strong or weak. So game will be very interesting. 

So retiring from tests matches may be due to concentrating on upcoming ODI matches and 20-20 matches besides this it may be due to concentrating on world cup.

His work is very appreciating. In fact in his captaincy India ranked in the test matches. This great player, from Ranchi, gave a lot to Indian cricket team in test matches.

The sub and substance is that we shall not be able to see him in white jersey and behind the wicket in test matches. We should respect his decision.

May this year bring you a lot of joy in your life. 

In the past year we got many things, experiences as well as we left something that could be achieved. Just thinking positively must be out outlook. Learning from past is the way to do something different and new.

Windows 8 had changed computing, its new version 8.1 has made it more convenient. Its prescriptions can make your functioning easy.

Microsoft had lauched windows 8 last year. Its popularity was not going down that company launched its updated version. Windows 8 was an operating system according to need of the hour. Microsoft had lauched it to compete with the operating systems which were being made for smart phone and tablet. There is no doubt that its new product constructed again its power in the market which was decreasing. 

It is wonder that people were understanding the new features of it and the company launched new version added with more functions. In windows 8.1 new updates are included. In it many new features are added and it has been made more powerful so that you may work more. But several of its features are hidden. Without knowing them its better utilisation is not possible. 

Keyboard shortcut

In windows 8.1 company has launched new shortcuts. Even before people have been doing most of work with keyboard instead of mouse. But in it there are so many shortcuts that you will get tired counting them. These are more than hundred.

Well, Today I would write few lines for facebook lovers.

I have seen that people of young age have desire to get more and more likes and comments on their posts.

Why they want so??

Simply they want themselves seen popular to others. 

They even compete with friends. Over and above status having less number of likes or comments even after a long time it has been updated is not liked by others and vice versa. 

well whatever I have written is not concerned with all facebookies.

Hello there,

First of all, blogging is not for all. It specially gives an awesome opportunity to writing lovers, business owners, publishers, advertisers.
